The Brimsmore community opened their hearts, their purses and their oven doors to take part in the fight against cancer when they participated in the Macmillan Cancer Support’s World Biggest Coffee Morning. Hosted by Jenny and Marcia at their new home on the development just outside Yeovil, an array of beautiful, homemade cakes were on sale in aid of supporting people and their families living with cancer. Creators of the award winning Brimsmore development, Wyatt Homes donated £100 towards the total of £300 raised for Macmillan Cancer support.
“There was a great turnout – we couldn’t believe the amount of people that visited, many of them staying for a cup of tea or coffee and a chat and it was a great way for Brimsmore residents to get to know each other too,” comments Jenny.
“One in three of us will get cancer and it’s the toughest challenge most of us will face. We believe in supporting causes that will help towards making people’s lives more comfortable when faced with difficult circumstances. We were very proud to sponsor the Macmillan Coffee Morning and Jenny and Marcia did an outstanding job hosting and organising the event. We would like to thank all those who baked and donated,” said Annie Huddleston, Sales and Marketing Director for Wyatt Homes..
Wyatt Homes’ vision for Brimsmore is that residents will never have to leave, they can move up into larger homes as their requirements change, and downsize accordingly in later years. The wide selection of new homes combines everyday family living with style and elegance, at very competitive prices.
