We are thrilled to announce our new three year partnership with Wimborne Cricket Club which includes the sponsorship of the clubs new training nets.
This collaboration marks an exciting chapter for both Wyatt Homes and the club, highlighting our commitment to supporting local communities.
Recently, staff at Wyatt Homes attended the prestigious Lashings World 11 Charity T20 Match held at the club where a ribbon was cut to mark the new netting.
The Lashings festival is renowned for bringing together former international cricket stars for a day of high-quality cricket and community engagement. This year’s event was no exception, with luminaries such as England's John Emburey and Adam Hollioake, and Henry ‘Blowers’ Blofeld providing commentary. A speech by former England spinner Geoff Miller added to the day’s charm.
Cricket has been a cornerstone of Wimborne's community since 1793. The club, which moved to its current ground in 2010, has become a beacon for local cricket enthusiasts. With five senior men’s sides, a midweek evening-league team, a women’s team, and various junior teams, Wimborne Cricket Club is more than just a venue; it’s a vibrant hub of cricketing activity.
The new nets will significantly enhance the club’s facilities, supporting the development of young players and providing a platform for adult practice sessions. The club is particularly proud of its ECB-backed All Stars & Dynamos coaching sessions, which have seen over 200 children receive top-notch coaching this season.
Wimborne Cricket Club continues to achieve remarkable success, including winning three Dorset Premier League titles in the last eight years and becoming T20 champions this season. Their Under 15 side has also been regional champions for the second consecutive year.
The club is eager to build on these achievements by welcoming even more of the local community, strengthening ties with other sports clubs, and promoting cricket across all ages and abilities.
A club spokesperson said, "This was a splendid occasion to have the new facility officially opened and we are indebted to Wyatt Homes and their generous contribution to enabling the project to go forward and to support this community sports club and its wide youth and adult membership. We very much look forward to continuing our relationship with the company and welcoming them along to the club in the future."

We’re so pleased you love your new home. If you know someone who is considering moving and they have not already registered with us, please ask your Sales Advisor for a Recommend a Friend form and send it to your friend/family member to complete. They will need to take along with them on their first visit to meet our Sales Advisors.

We can then register your friend/family members details and if they proceed to buy a Wyatt Home we will send you £500 as a 'thank you' when they legally complete.
